Barry Schultz |
Barry began his legal career at Prairie State Legal Services, Inc., in Waukegan,
Illinois because of his desire to assist people who could not afford to hire an
attorney. In his six years there he helped numerous clients to obtain their
Social Security, unemployment insurance, general assistance and Public Aid
benefits. He also helped defend tenants against illegal evictions, battered
women to obtain orders of protection, and consumers against unreasonable
business practices. In 1986 Barry opened a law practice, concentrating in helping people obtain
disability benefits since that time. His firm has represented nearly 2000
claimants at hearings with Social Security ALJs, in addition to having
represented more than 200 people with appeals to the federal district courts and
Court of Appeals.
